The sold out audience at Deborah Frances-White's "How to get Almost Anyone to Want to Sleep with You" had a surprise yesterday when Deborah decided to help audience member Marc Wilson and his luck with girls.
Marc was unable to pinpoint the reason for his two year drought so Deborah identified his biggest problem: a scruffy beard and a ponytail which didn't suit him. The women in the audience were unanimous in their agreement. Deborah asked Marc if he would be prepared to shave and get a haircut right there at the show. He agreed to lose the beard but wasn't sure about the ponytail. Deborah's assistant Charly Burnett lost no time and ran from the venue to buy razors and shaving foam before escorting Marc to the loo to do the deed. Despite struggling to reach the high mirror, Marc succeeded in not cutting himself while cleanly removing his beard.
He then returned to the stage to rapturous applause and was convinced by the response that the ponytail should go. There on the stage – with paper scissors borrowed from the box office - the pony tail came off while the audience made a drum roll. The verdict was immediate: he was sexier by far. Women were actually commenting on the transformation as they left the venue and Marc was elated. He left the venue with a huge smile on his face but not before enquiring as to where his pony tail had ended up. It was retrieved from the dressing room and restored to its rightful and now highly attractive owner.
Marc promised Deborah he would visit a Toni and Guy as soon as possible to complete the job. He has already reported a better response to his flirting and said "With short hair and no beard plus the flirting techniques I learnt in Deborah's show – I can't wait to get out there." Deborah Frances-White's "How to Get Almost Anyone to Want to Sleep With You" is fast getting a reputation as the funniest, most practical show on the fringe where literally anything can happen and every day is different.
